For those who like under water hocker with two regulators. Separate battery and voltage plugs in boat to keep independent to other systems. A great fun product. O rings in regulator recently replaced.
Engine Maintenance/ History
Boat slipped July 2013
Hulls cleaned inspected, no osmosis as the correct resins were used 1996 and used two coast of two pack epoxy before antifoul. Have used Altex no 5 exclusively with minimum of three coats/ Last four / five years in the Keppels. Aluminium saildrive. Propellers using vivid, excellent as a hard paint
4 litres AF 3000 with vinyl undercoat
Both saildrives were dismantled and seacocks and waters and oil internals were flushed and cleaned. New seals and O rings fitted to out put shafts. Synthetic oil replaced
Both Bosch injector pumps were reconditioned in August 2005 at 375 hours. Dispute with Volvo was difficult after one failed on trip from Sydney to Yeppon
Boat has not been used 2013 summer so hours are current
Engine hours: 1612; Log: 2350NM
Boat was in Port Hacking until 2006 at which time engine hours 480 and log 6161NM
Feb 2012 removed both motor heat exchangers due corrosion and had rebuilt / welded where corrosion at water outlet / exhaust, gas to outlet “ made as new”
Valve clearances checked both motors, Stb within spec but port motor required new shims etc to Volvo specs
Removed injectors to find spray pattern u/s replaced all inectors with new nozzles etc and tested compression. All cylinders were within five percent average (Volvo allow up to ten percent) reading 440 psi

1500 hours. Saltwater impeller pumps were removed and rebushed, new impellers, fitted and all salt water lines cleaned, refitted.
